Max’s Visit to the National Railway Museum

At the weekend, Max and his family visited the National Railway Museum in York and finally saw the famous Mallard and Rocket. Max had a great time visiting the museum and would recommend visiting it if you haven’t done so before. Well done Max it’s great to see you enjoying everything we have been learning about in expedition 🙂

KS1 Final Product – update

KS1 were so excited to take receipt of their Summer expedition final product … a set of round-the-world Top Trump recipe cards!

Our expedition explored the question, ‘what does the food we eat tell us about the world around us?’.

The cards look fantastic and we are only disappointed that we can’t share them with you straight away due to the number of KS1 children currently self- isolating. With this in mind, we will launch the product when we return to school in September and offer everyone the opportunity to purchase their very own set.

Jack’s Hungry Caterpillar

  1. Today, Jack created this beautiful caterpillar after being inspired by our class story ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ written by Eric Carle. Jack carefully cut his ‘c’ for the caterpillar’s body and a circle for the head before adding a face and details with a pen and pipe cleaner antenna.
Well done Jack for your gorgeous caterpillar! I love it!

I wonder who else can make one tomorrow?

Amazing moon

We have been looking at different stories last week and this week about the sun, moon and stars. Today we looked more closely at the different phases of the moon. We chose our favourite phase and produced some beautiful artwork!

Well done Class 8!

You impress me every single day, I am so proud of you all!! Keep up the hard work!

Incredible home learning!

I have been completely overwhelmed with the quality of homework produced in Crew Mumby! From amazing pictures of the Hogwarts Express to creating wands, every piece of homework has greatly impressed me. The 3 children above have spent a considerable amount of time crafting their wands, adding intricate detailing and patterns. I’m hoping we get a spare bit of time so they can show me how to do it! Well done guys- keep up your motivated attitude!
