We are delighted to invite you to the Year 3 and Year 4 Presentation of Learning, which will take place on 2nd July at 9am.
The morning will begin with a coffee morning in the hall, followed by a presentation by our Year 3 and 4 children, where they will showcase what they’ve been learning this term. We are incredibly proud of all the hard work they’ve put in and are excited for them to share it with you.
Please enter the hall via the Ash Tree entrance, not the office.
Following the presentation, parents and children are warmly invited to enjoy a walk around our Summer Fayre, where there will be a range of stalls and activities for everyone to enjoy.
We look forward to seeing you there and celebrating the children’s achievements together.
Children will then return to their classrooms at 10:15.
Year 4 are having a wonderful time in the sunshine at their camp out!
In reading this week they were developing their own individual vocabulary knowledge. Focussing on a chapter from our class text and pulling out words unfamiliar to them. Then, using a dictionary, finding and defining the words they chose.
To show their understanding had improved, they then had to use these words in their own independent sentences.
Great work! It was lovely to see how you dictionary skills and speed has also improved this year too!
What a great afternoon we had for our KS2 Sports Day! We are so proud of all the children for getting involved!
Well done to our KS2 boys who took part in our first legacy competition yesterday at Doncaster Tennis Club. It was great to see some fantastic tennis skills on show and all the boys enjoying themselves. Well done for finishing 5th boys and a big shout out to George for winning the sportsmanship award. Bring on the next competition!
A huge congratulations to our amazing Year 4 footballers who took part in the Snaith Cluster Schools Football Tournament this week!
We were proud to have two Green Top teams representing our school — and both teams gave it their absolute all. Their hard work, teamwork, and determination really paid off, as both Green Top 1 and Green Top 2 reached the finals in their respective groups.
Green Top 1 showed incredible resilience and skill, battling through to a nail-biting final that ended in a penalty shootout. The team held their nerve and came out victorious — well done on your win!
Green Top 2 also put in a fantastic performance, narrowly missing out on the top spot in a very close final. Your efforts, attitude, and sportsmanship were outstanding, and you should be very proud of yourselves.
It was a brilliant evening full of energy, excitement, and positive spirit. A great time was had by all, and the experience was one to remember for every player involved. Thank you to everyone who supported and cheered the teams on — and a special thank you to Mr Overson for supporting this event and making it possible.
Well done, Green Top Year 4 — you did us proud!
Just a reminder to parents and carers about our KS2 sports day. Sports day will be on Tuesday 10th June on the KS2 field. Gates will be open from 12:50. We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday afternoon!
Wow! What another fab disco we have all enjoyed for KS2 … lots of dancing, singing & sweet treats with our friends! Thank you to our Friends of GreenTop for organising 🙂
A huge well done to this week’s Crew Champions in Year 3/4! It was inspiring to hear about the incredible effort you’ve put into your learning and how you’ve proudly earned your character trait badges — keep it up
