This week we are learning the grapheme and phoneme ‘b’. The children have been busy singing B-I-N-G-O, finding objects that begin with ’b’ and having a go at writing it in different ways. Well done, Nursery! We are so proud of you!

Yesterday, the children and Nursery had a wonderful time creating their own woodland trays for their bears to live in as part of our expedition learning ’How do we care for bears?’ The children explored natural objects in our environment to make their trays and drew their own bears to add in. The children even added porridge oats to feed them. Well done Nursery! We are so proud of you for your creativeness, innovation and imagination!
Today, we have worked collaboratively to model how the earth, sun and moon relate to one another. We used torches to explore how the seasons and day/night occur during different times of the day or year. We then presented our models back to the class. Well done everyone – some fabulous new knowledge in action!
We have had a beautiful afternoon in Nursery. The sun was shining and children initiated their own play exploring what it would be like to be builders. The children collaboratively built a road and a bridge then enjoyed using it as an obstacle course.
Well done Eli!.
You blew me away today with your amazing reading and phonics knowledge this morning. Keep up the hard work

Class 4 you really blew me away today with your beautiful writing. You all tried so hard to remember our finger spaces, capital letters and full stops. Keep it up.

Ted and Willow shared with the crew some beautiful work they had produced over the weekend. We loved looking at your writing and hearing all about your weekend.
Well done, Miss Stewart
At the weekend, Max and his family visited the National Railway Museum in York and finally saw the famous Mallard and Rocket. Max had a great time visiting the museum and would recommend visiting it if you haven’t done so before. Well done Max it’s great to see you enjoying everything we have been learning about in expedition 🙂

KS1 were so excited to take receipt of their Summer expedition final product … a set of round-the-world Top Trump recipe cards!
Our expedition explored the question, ‘what does the food we eat tell us about the world around us?’.
The cards look fantastic and we are only disappointed that we can’t share them with you straight away due to the number of KS1 children currently self- isolating. With this in mind, we will launch the product when we return to school in September and offer everyone the opportunity to purchase their very own set.
