Crew Oldridge had a busy couple of weeks conducting experiments including evaporation, filtration and the Muddy Water Challenge to separate the components of muddy water using the knowledge they had acquired during the week. Clearly, these ‘Science Hook Days’ were enjoyed by all! WE ARE SCIENTISTS!
A huge well done to Pandora who created a beautiful piece of art which links to our Expedition! The time, effort and patience taken is phenomenal!
Well done Oliver for working incredibly hard to produce this home learning. It contains some really useful information about Brazil which links nicely to our current Expedition!
Well done Leila for taking immense time and effort to produce a beautiful piece of home learning which links to our Expedition!
What a night we had celebrating our amazing Year 6 children. From beach volleyball to limbo to a dance off – we had so much fun and never stopped smiling and laughing all evening. Check out the photos below – some people were a little camera shy and wouldn’t visit the photo booth so hopefully we managed to catch everyone at some point!

The Year 6 children that remain in school had a wonderful day today, starting by demonstrating their leadership skills by supporting the Nursery Sports Day. After that, we baked delicious shortbread, impressing the adults in school with their skill. We ended the day with some XP Outdoors time with the students finding their own materials to create fire on which to boil our camping kettles to make some hot chocolate! We will all sleep well tonight!
We had another fantastic community crew meeting this morning with lots of HoWL point winners alongside our OOTW champions. Well done to everybody, keep up the great work!
Some of our Y5 & 6 students have been enjoying taking part in our new provision, EPIC.
Our in-school sessions focus on preparing Y6 pupils for life at secondary school and explores ideas and issues to help them navigate future experiences in society. The course covers areas such as bullying, crime and internet safety.
EPIC also offers Y5/6 students an after-school club which focuses on collaboration and problem solving skills through team games and challenges. This club runs on a Thursday evening, 3-4pm.
Whilst EPIC is offered to pupils via invite only, we do have some spaces left on the after-school club. If your Y5/6 child is interested in joining please contact your child’s class teacher for more information.
