3/4 girls football! ⚽️
Here are the Y3/4 girls who were victorious at our Trust football tournament recently! Well done again!
Playground leaders (pupils) wanted!
To help make break times even better we are asking for the children to volunteer to be a playground leader (in KS2). This will include a vote.
If this role is something that you are interested in, create a poster that shows:
- Why you would be a great playground leader?
- How can you help adults at break time?
- What ideas you have for playtime games?
- What character traits you will show with this
- Are you confident to lead other children?
If you wanted to do a bit of Easter homework (no pressure) then you can create the poster, as mentioned above.
The deadline for this (sent to class teachers) will be Wednesday 17th April.
Tasting and exploring Hot Cross Buns in Nursery
Today the children enjoyed trying hot cross buns during snack time. Some children loved them, others were not so keen but we’re willing to try. We looked at the complete hot cross bun and talk about the cross symbolising Jesus in the Christian faith at Easter time. We used our senses to smell, feel, look and taste the hot cross buns. A big well done for being Can do Colin’s and trying something new Nursery Crew!
“I can smell orange” – Siena
”It smells spicy!” – Aria
”It’s yummy!” – Mason
Easter Slice in Nursery
This week and last we are enjoying our Easter Slice. Take a look at all of the exciting Spring themed activities we have been up to so far… Spring flower perfume making, butterfly stamping, Spring garden painting, and challenging ourselves using clay rather than play dough to roll, push, nip and press our own Easter eggs. Well done Nursery Crew! You are working so hard during our Easter Slice and all of the grown ups are so proud of you!
Parachute games in Nursery
The children had so much fun last Wednesday playing parachute games with Mrs Hardman. The children were singing songs and practising turn taking and building relationships through quality crew!
Beautiful phonics work in Nursery
The children have been working super hard this morning learning about the letter sound ‘b’. The children have been finding objects that begin with the letter ‘b’ and tried really hard to write with chalks and on the CleverTouch.
Red Nose Day in Nursery
The children celebrated Red Nose Day by dressing in red to raise money, creating sticky red collage pictures, and hunting for red objects.
Year 3 spellings!
This week in year 3 we will be completing a spelling touchdown on Thursday. Here are the spellings that you can practise this week at home to practise!

Girls football tournament!
Wow! What a massive well done to the girls who participated in the football tournament over at XP as part of our Trust competitions. We did such a great job that we scored plenty of goals, didn’t concede and ended up winning the tournament overall.
The best thing was seeing the enjoyment of girls who have played together and those making their way into such a great game. Keep your eyes posted for more photos of the tournament from Mr Ambler!
A massive well done to the girls for being such super stars and to the adults for taking you to the tournament! Rest up and have a great weekend 🙂
