Francesca, Heidi, Carter and Libby all worked their socks off today when asked to write a sentence which included some phase 2 tricky words.
Well done guys! I’m so proud of you and your brilliant sentences!

Class 3 went on a treasure hunt to find Little Red Riding Hood’s basket of fruit to launch our new story in literacy. We had such fun following the clues! Little Red even said we could eat her fruit. Thank you Little Red!
The children in Class 3 worked their socks off today in phonics when learning how to read and spell the Phase 2 tricky word ‘the’. Well done to you all! I’m so proud of you!
See if you can spot the word ‘the’ in your reading books.
We made straw houses from the story of The 3 Little Pigs out of dried spaghetti. The children thought carefully about what length of spaghetti they needed to cut to fit onto the house template.
Well done Class 3 & 4!
This week Class 8 are getting themselves ready for the move to year 3. We practised our silent reading today so that we will be ready to do our daily Accelerated Reading session after the summer. It was lovely to see everyone immersed in a book in their own little comfy spot around the classroom.
Thank you to Mrs Godfrey for coming into talk to the children about food science and what is involved in working inside a food factory. The children found out lots of interesting facts and enjoyed all the different activities. It was great fun dressing up in the hair nets and shoe protectors!
Mrs Godfrey was very kind and brought us some special hairnets and shoe protectors to wear following her food science talk! The children loved trying them on, in fact they loved them so much we even did our handwriting wearing them!!! 😊
Thankyou Mrs Godfrey, the children learned so much and we really enjoyed it!
Thank you to all the family and friends who attended our Year 2 celebration cafe this morning it was great to see everyone. The children had an absolutely fantastic time sharing their theme books with the adults, buying buns, biscuits and flapjacks from the cafe and most importantly eating the delicious treats!
Thanks again for your support, we really do appreciate it.
The Year 2 staff team.
Today we had a wonderful trip to Boston Park Farm. The rain poured all day but it really didn’t matter! We loved every minute!
