Year 5 had an awesome day today, starting with an extremely fun and informative workshop. The children were engaged and completely immersed in their learning. After lunch followed some Egyptian dancing and games, along with making healthy fruit kebabs. The Year 5 team were delighted to also receive an email from the ladies who delivered the workshop. This was full of praise for our children and school, bringing a lovely end to a perfect day! Well done Crew Year 5!!!
Year 5 Egyptian Day
On Friday 26th April, we are so excited to be having our very own Egyptian Day! Children are invited to come into school looking like an Ancient Egyptian to take part in our Workshop with Heritage Doncaster. The fun will last all day with other amazing activities planned for all!
Playground Leader Reminder (KS2)
Just a reminder about the option to apply for a playground leader role!
To help make break times even better we are asking for the children to volunteer to be a playground leader (in KS2). This will include a vote.
If this role is something that you are interested in, create a poster that shows:
- Why you would be a great playground leader?
- How can you help adults at break time?
- What ideas you have for playtime games?
- What character traits you will show with this
- Are you confident to lead other children?
If you wanted to do a bit of Easter homework (no pressure) then you can create the poster, as mentioned above.
The deadline for this (sent to class teachers) will be Wednesday 17th April.
