Hi everyone,
Here is a message to invite you to our Paddington Picnic on Tuesday 8th July 2025 (8.7.25). This will be held at school and the children are excited to show you their beautiful learning from this Expedition.
The time of the picnic will be 2pm and we welcome you all to come and enjoy. Hopefully the weather will be kind to us and you are more than welcome to bring your picnic blankets with you, if you would like.
We look forward to seeing as many of you as we can! 🙂
An enormous well done to Year 5 who have worked so hard on their singing/chair drumming performance of Working Man! Each and every child played and sang their hearts out and Mrs Spetch and I are incredibly proud! Thank you to the parents who came along to support- we hope you are also proud of your wonderful children. We were lucky that Geoff was in school and recorded the event-the video will be shared as soon as it is available.
We are incredibly proud to share that three of our talented pupils represented our Engineering Club at the recent Celebration Event in Snaith — and they absolutely blew everyone away with their creativity, teamwork, and technical skills!
As part of the challenge, the children were tasked with testing their engineering builds for both load-bearing strength and their ability to move in a straight line. But the event didn’t stop there — they were also put to the test in a live interview with two employees from Siemens Rail, where they confidently explained their design choices and the reasoning behind their builds.
What happened next was nothing short of amazing…
The judges were so impressed by our pupils’ work — especially the addition of coding in their designs — that they awarded them the top grade, a level never awarded before!
Not only that, but our team secured both 1st and 2nd place, receiving their prizes from none other than Mark Speed, Manager at Siemens Rail in Goole.
Now we have finished our expedition learning, this week we have focused on ‘children’s choice’. The Nursery children asked for a doctors, a beauty salon and ice creams. They are thoroughly enjoying role playing with the resources, crafting as always is a big hit as is the sand and interactive board. It’s wonderful to see so many happy, busy and creative children today.
Yesterday, the children enjoyed a visit from a live band all the way Germany. They played Billie Jean, I got this feeling and Skyfall. The children loved looking at the vast range of instruments and clapping along to the beat. What a wonderful experience for our youngest children to enjoy.
The girls looking proud of the medals that were kindly donated to us!
We are delighted to invite you to the Year 5 Presentation of Learning, a special event that celebrates the hard work and achievements of our students.
This presentation will take place on Wednesday 2nd July, ahead of the Green Top Summer Fayre, which begins at 3:00 p.m. Parents and carers are warmly invited to join us from 2:15 p.m when the Year 5 children will showcase their final product—a performance they have prepared with great dedication and enthusiasm.
Please enter school via the KS2 playground gates as the event will take place on the school field.
We look forward to welcoming you to what promises to be a memorable afternoon.
