The children loved making Easter nest buns yesterday. We talked about the ingredients we used and how they changed from being a solid to a liquid during the melting process. The children chose their own bun case and mini egg colour to make them unique to them. I hope everyone enjoyed eating them. They looked and smelt delicious!
Nursery Family Learning will be held on Wednesday 30th April 8.30am – 9.30am in the form of a ‘book and a biscuit’ event. We will also be hosting a used toy and book sale to raise money for EYFS funds and our expedition projects. Please bring loose change. All books and toys will be priced between 50p – £5. We have had some wonderful donations so be sure to grab a bargain!
We hope you can make it to spend some quality reading time with your child.
The Nursery Team
Today, in order to hook us into our new Expedition, Class 7 have drawn their own amazing Paddington Bears!
On our faith day, Class 7 made some Islamic inspired tessellations!
We have embraced the sunshine this afternoon and enjoyed playing outside. Lots of wonderful collaborative work, helping each other, sharing resources and building friendships.
Today, we worked on our shooting skills!
The children enjoyed creating tree clay faces using natural objects found in the garden today. Poppy from KS2 also joined us and loved it too. The children used their hand muscles to roll, squash, squeeze and pinch to manipulate the clay for their desired shape. We talked about emotions and how we could make a happy, excited, sad, OK and worried face. It was great fun and I was so proud of the children’s perseverance when trying to get their clay face to stick to the tree trunk.
Beautiful work Nursery Crew and Poppy!
