Last week Miss Salter set a challenge that anyone in F2 and KS1 who brought their reading books into change would enter a prize draw.  This morning we drew out the 6 winning tickets.  Our lucky winners won a ‘twist and tangle’ and a tube of smarties!

Well done Annabel, Letti, Cody, Ferron-Rose, Riley and Pandora!

Watch out for the next challenge in the next few weeks.  Keep reading those books!

F2 and KS1 house point winners 23.9.19

Well done to this week’s winners.   There are lots of new prizes to choose from and I know you will enjoy them!  I wonder who will impress the grown ups this week and get to choose something from our wonderful new prizes!

Two heads are better than one!

Class 7 have been busy this week editing the opening paragraph of our class text, The Rainbow Fish.

Children have partnered up to edit the paragraph, changing it to a different sea creature, using lots of different adjectives, making it even better and then writing it up in to their books in their most beautiful handwriting.

This is preparing them for next week when they are writing their own short story about an animal!

I have seen some Motivated Moe’s and Light Bulb Leo’s this week so I cannot wait to see their ideas develop when it comes to writing their very own stories!

Watch this space for some fabulous writing to be shared!

Amazing homework!!

A huge well done to these three girls for creating amazing pieces of art work as part of their homework!

You have all worked so hard to make these but the hard work has certainly paid off. They’re all incredible! I can’t wait to see what you make next!

We are collecting Aldi stickers

Where do we learn?

Take a sneak peak of Class 7’s wonderful learning environment linked to our new theme “Who lives in our animals kingdom?”. As you can see, the children have done an amazing job during hook week creating a variety of animals to immerse our classroom further.

What a great place to learn lots of new and exciting things!!

Well done Class 7!

Class 7 visit The Deep!!

We are back from an absolutely fabulous learning visit to The Deep!

It was amazing to learn lots of new things about different sea creatures and also take part in our workshop where children had to guess the sea creatures, look at real life sea creatures and draw them and also use the computers to put together different images linked to the ocean.

I am so proud of how well the children conducted themselves around The Deep. Despite being full on enthusiasm and bursting with excitement, the children had beautiful manners to other members of the public who were also visiting. Well done guys, you’re super stars!

A special mention to our birthday girl Bryona! Hope you’ve enjoyed it!!
