It’s been another exciting couple of days in Class 10. We’ve had blind taste testing, art work and label designs.

Take a look back..
Our first introduction to our new expedition for Summer term was to have a go at matching the adults in school to their faces as babies! We had lots of fun looking at who was who, guessing by identifying features that looked similar. It was such fun seeing how people have changed. The children then got a chance to draw ourselves as a baby and then as they are now, where they could identify that they might have looked similar but the two drawings were not going to be the same. We wondered, what will we look like in the future…?

Diversity Week
Before the Easter holidays, we celebrated diversity week with a wide range of different activities. Check out the video below to see what we did.
And Crew Jackson’s winner is…

Diversity Session 2
In this diversity session we looked at hope and empathy, the children were really engaged in this and really thought about our HOWLS in relation to this. To end the lesson the children created their own posters for things they hope will happen and their aspirations in life.
We then displayed their posters around the classroom so everyone could admire each others hopes for the future and had a lovely gallery walk of these.

SUPER SHOUT OUTS for class 5!
WHAT a week this week, we have been working so hard in our assessments this week and to top it off, class 5 have had some amazing work to celebrate this morning! Here are our Be Kind, Work Hard and Get Smart post card winners this week. Everyone deserves a huge shout out though, it’s been a tough old week so far but the hard work is really paying off in the outcomes of our assessments!

Talk about making good choices…
Class 5 are that amazing, that even when they are given the choice of what to do, they still choose to do work, and represent their learning by making equations out of blocks! Keep up the great attitude to learning team, I am so proud of you all 😀

Crucial Crew
Really proud of how maturely my class participated in some really tough scenarios today at the Crucial Crew workshop.
The sessions were taught by expert volunteers from South Yorkshire Police, South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service and South Yorkshire Safer Roads Partnership and covered a range of serious issues in our local surroundings.
Editing and improving our writing
This week in Crew Jackson, we have been critiquing our speech writing against the rubric and specific features. I have been so impressed with the way the children have supported each other with the editing and improving process.
I can’t wait to read their final touchdowns and listen to them read their speeches.
Beautiful home learning
Martha bought in a beautiful gingerbread man cake to share with her class. Class 4 loved tasting the cake it looked yummy!!
Class 4 loved hearing Martha share how she made the cake and what ingredients she used.
