Thank you so much to all of the parents and grandparents who joined us in our family learning session this afternoon! The rockets literally blew me away!!! They are amazing!!!
I can’t wait to see all of your pictures and videos of you launching them at home! Well done class 8!
Before our adults arrived, we designed our rockets. Once the adults arrived, we then began creating them. I think they turned out pretty cool – you could say they were out of this world!
Thanks, as always, to those that could make it. We really do appreciate it and hope you had as much fun as we did!
SATs are over and so the celebrations begin…starting with a special lunch for everyone!
We are so lucky that on a Tuesday Mr Kershaw comes to do an XP outdoors session. This week we had to work together as a Crew to try and get the water to flow down the pipes without spilling any.
It was so tricky but we managed to keep our cool and have loads of fun trying to solve the problem.
A few soggy toes at the end but it was more than worth it!
Well done everyone and a huge thank you to Mr Kershaw.

This week in Phonics we have been covering the following sound. The sounds will be sent out for the children to be practising to recognise the digraph, say the digraph and then write the grapheme.
The children are really starting to learn and retain those sounds but will need support to blend those sounds together. Have a go at the green words and the more they hear those sounds being blended the easier it will become. There is a sentence to read on the bottom of the sheet also. Reading this and also reading the reading books that the children now have will all help to increase and improve the children’s fluency in their reading.
Thanks
Mrs Wallace and Mrs Jones.
Today we enjoyed a special lunch. We enjoyed yummy hotdogs and chicken burgers and listened to some lovely music as we ate.
It was super!
We had a superb visit to Magna this week!
Today, Class 7 have been creating their very own fact files on British astronaut Helen Sharman! We used a range of sources and helped each other to create some beautiful work!
This morning, we used a character description from our class text Holes to create synonyms to write our own description of a yellow spotted lizard. I was so impressed with the creativity of the vocabulary used! Great job everyone!
