Charlotte wanted to be like her mummy this evening and worked on her laptop. She practised writing her name and some CVC words. Then she did some additions and double learning. Charlotte learnt how to use the shift key to create an add sign and how to delete. She said she is ready to be a teacher now!

Today the children had a wonderful time creating scarecrows in Literacy Lab based around our story ‘The Scarecrow’s Wedding’.

Any further donations, no matter how big or small, would be hugely appreciated. If there are any further donations, please could they be brought into school by Wednesday 30th June. The final deadline to purchase tickets (£1 per strip) will be Friday 2nd July, with all proceeds going towards Year 6 hoodies and celebrations. Anyone is welcome to buy tickets, just send money into school in a labelled envelope and class teachers will ensure it makes its way to the right place. On Wednesday 30th June EYFS are having a farm themed dress up day to celebrate the end of our expedition learning. Please send your child in fancy dress on this day.

In Literacy we are looking at writing lists by writing the letter shapes we know. Can you have a go at writing a list for something? It could be a list of your favourite toys, a shopping list, a list of the people who live in your house, a ‘to do’ list. Whatever you like! Think carefully about what letters look like and what sounds you can hear in words to help you.
In Maths this week we are looking at sharing equally. Can you use objects or drawings to show sharing amounts equally? Use plates and objects to help you.

Can you share 6 biscuits between 3 children?
How many do they all get?
Is it the same?
Is it fair?
