Class 7’s super online learning! 15.06.20

We’ve had a busy day in Class 7 today.

We’ve been choosing different coins to make certain amounts.

In English, we shared a new story, Percy the Park Keeper and the children have worked hard to answer comprehension questions about the story.

Special shout out to Ronnie for sharing a picture of her auntie’s baby chicks as well as an amazing video of some owls too. We loved seeing these!

Our learning legend’s today are:

It’s girl power today for Khaya and Ronnie!! I’ve been blown away by both of you today!

Your video recordings for expedition were amazing as you have spoken so clearly and included the key facts for your animals! I can also see how hard you’ve both tried in your English and Maths learning too. Complete Light Bulb Leo’s today!

Well done everyone for your hard work!!

A WOW Wednesday in Year 2!

It’s been a great day in Year 2! More telling the time and solving problems in maths today and some amazing writers showing off their skills today with a descriptive piece of writing about the woods where the owls from Owl Babies might live.

Special shout out to Rosie for her poster for everyone at Green Top- Be Kind, Teamwork, Dreamwork! It’s amazing Rosie and so bright and colourful!!! It’s made us all smile today!!!

Our Learning Legends in Year 2 today have been amazing writers today:

Nigella and Amy has got this today for being Connecting Connie’s in their descriptive pieces of writing today. They have both thought hard to include lots of our green standard features and have included lots of exciting vocabulary too. As well as what they have written, they have both written in their most beautiful handwriting too!

Well done girls!

Keep up the great work everyone!! We are so impressed by you all!!

Tremendous Tuesday in Year 2!

Year 2 is full of super stars today! We’ve been blown away by all of the learning we’ve seen today.

It has been brilliant to see lots of you join in with the timed challenges today- lots of you said that the hopping challenge was the trickiest because it was the longest.

You’ve all thought carefully about what our characters from Owl Babies might say and have used inverted commas for speech.

Well done everyone!!

Here are our Year 2 learning legends for today:

Eve for being a Light Bulb Leo today for her fabulous piece of music that she has composed for a butterfly. If you close your eyes, it really feels like you’re outside and you can picture the butterflies peacefully fluttering around!

and

Joel for also being a Light Bulb Leo too for his ‘Owl finding food’ music. He used different instruments and really thought about pitch and the pace of the sounds to match the animal. You super star Joel!

They listened to our new story ‘Owl Babies’ carefully and have answered questions about the text, in maths they have been telling the time and in expedition they have been listening to different sounds and have also been composing their own music to represent one of our 4 animals!

I can see that everyone has tried so hard today!!

Our learning legends in Year 2 today are:

Callum for being an Exploring Eddie in Expedition today. Callum shared videos of him listening to the different types of music and explained how he thought they were moving and feeling. You made us all smile Callum, so thank you!! 🙂

and

Khaya for being a Connecting Connie and making some wonderful expedition crafts over the weekend using lots of boxes from the recycling- such a clever idea!!! Khaya made a bumble bee, a caterpillar and also a cute little hedgehog with spikes!
