Class 7 thoroughly enjoyed their jubilee lunchboxes today! A feast fit for any king or queen.
Class 7 had a great time at the jubilee disco this evening … perfect timing after all of our hard work completing our SATS this week. Well done everyone!
Y6 are looking to raise money to help fund some of our upcoming leavers celebrations such as buying leavers hoodies and autograph books.
We have 2 fantastic Harry Potter hampers to give away to 2 lucky winners!
Your child will bring home a strip of raffle tickets this week which are 50p per ticket. If you would like to buy any, please add in your tickets and the correct amount of money in to a sealed envelope and pass on to your class teacher. If you would like more tickets, please see the school office.
The raffle will be drawn on Friday 17th June. Good luck!
Class 7 enjoyed their funky Friday in the sun with a tasty bun to celebrate Annabel’s birthday … This was definitely well deserved after a fantastic start to their SATS this week. Well done to everyone, you have all worked so hard and I am so proud of the positive attitude you have shown. Keep it up for next week’s final papers!
Another shout out also goes to Reef and Bobby who made good use of their morning reading time to delve into some reading about maths. They were both really excited to find out about equivalent fractions. Did you know … That 3/6 is the same as 1/2??? Well, now Reef and Bobby do! Keep up the enthusiasm boys, super reading.
Lots more to celebrate this week in key stage 1! Year 1 had lots of amazing reading certificates given out, year 2 have been getting some awesome shoutouts for their hard work in SATS this week. The children were shining!
Lots of shoutouts for those of use that have been awarded the Be Kind, Get Smart and Work Hard HOWL certificates too. It is so great to see so many young people striving for these awards, although it makes it hard for us to choose sometimes! What a great dilemma to have. What could YOU do to be our winners next week?
After counting all the votes, the winners have been revealed. It was a really close call.
In joint first place were Sunflower Rock and Rainbow Surprise.
Then, in joint second place was Monster Bomb, Snake and UK Kitty.
A massive well done to everyone for all your hard work. There are prizes for you all tomorrow!
We had a great time this afternoon creating our very own sweets! It was great to see all the adults in school supporting the children. I was so proud of all the children who were brave enough to present their ideas to everyone. The winner will be announced soon!
KS1 reading club have enjoyed their books out in the sunshine today … Reading on the slide was quite a challenge but we seem to have mastered it quite well!
I just wanted to say a huge well done to Class 7 who have risen to the challenge of our KS1 SATS so far with amazing effort and attitude! We have completed arithmetic and reading paper 1 so far and I am thrilled with how things have been going so far … Keep it up everyone 🙂
In between papers, the children have been busy letting off steam by colouring in some beautiful bunting for a local jubilee celebration coming up very soon.
We also have a special shout out to Reef who shared his fantastic football success with us today – well done, Reef!
How wonderful it was to be able to welcome our parents and carers back for the celebration of our Autumn learning expedition – What will I do to be a superhero in my community?
We gathered at the XP East site for a star-spangled red carpet event where our children truly were the stars of the show in a first screening of their final product video which showcased their learning in true Hollywood style.
Thank you so much to everyone who braved the traffic and came dressed in their best to help us recognise and honour the children’s hard work and achievements in such an awesome fashion.
We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.
