We are just settling down around the camp fire to enjoy toasted marshmallows and then some of Mr Kershaw’s campfire songs. Everyone has enjoyed a great tea of hot dogs, burgers and crisps – shout out to Mr Ambler for being the BBQ king!
What a fantastic day we had at Austerfield today! We spent the day working on our communication skills, team work and building relationships; most importantly we had lots of fun. Check out some of the photos that show the activities we took part in.
Please join us for our first Y5/6 family learning session of this year on Thursday 5th September 2pm – 3pm. We can’t wait to welcome you into our new classrooms to enjoy some space themed learning!
Wow what an amazing day we have had celebrating our fabulous year 6 children. To finish off our week of treats and celebrations, we enjoyed a Hawaii themed party. A fantastic time was had by all – face paint, takeaway, ice cream, singing, limbo, football and finally a water fight which was obviously instigated by Mr Ambler!!! Wow – what a fabulous leavers treat we had today! The rain stayed away from Bridlington and everyone had a great time on the beach – playing football, playing cricket, digging in the sand and splashing in the sea. It is clear our children do not understand ‘only paddle’ and as you will see on the photos below they got VERY VERY wet! Apologies for the amount of sand and sea water they brought home in their bags and on their clothes but they were having too much fun to stop them!!!
The fish and chips were amazing, the ice creams were delicious and the children were fantastic. No better way to start the leavers celebrations this week especially after their hard work all year was rewarded with excellent SATs results last week.
Thank you for all being amazing year 6.

This afternoon in Y5/6 Family Learning the children took part in different activities linked to being healthy. Myself and Miss Walton, enjoyed hosting a Ready Steady Cook challenge and we had a fantastic time creating healthy and creative dishes. Check the wonderful dishes below.
Well done everyone – I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!
