Well done class 14 for dressing up as something maths related there were some really good outfits. Congratulations to Lauren who won the best fancy dress in Y5/6!
Today in class 14 we have been finding the fractions of different coloured skittles and using our fraction skills to convert these into percentages and decimals. We all had fun throughout the lesson and even managed to eat them all at the end!
A great piece of work here by Lily sharing her Crew Robertson experiences and highlights.
Class 14 have been looking at the different phases of the moon and why we have different phases. We used oreo cookies to show the different phases which we all enjoyed and even managed to eat them all at the end.
We are very excited for maths week!
We will be celebrating maths and to do this we will be doing the following:
- Each day you will be informed of a challenge you can complete at home and bring into school
- At 3pm on Thursday (in the school hall), parents are invited to join the learning council to play maths games and look at how you can support your children with maths at home
- Friday is NSPCC Maths day so we will be having a ‘maths’ dress up day (£1 donation) and a bun sale to raise money for the charity
- Buns will be on sale for 50p (we will also be accepting donations of buns, cake and biscuits)
Please see the link below for dress up ideas and more information about NSPCC maths day:
Monday’s challenge is: Who can find the oldest coin? This needs to be a coin that you can currently spend in the UK. Place in an envelop child’s name, the coin enclosed and date! Good Luck!
Thanks

Again, a huge thank you to the children in Year 5, Mr Ambler’s Class, for giving up some of their dinner time to come in early and read with our children in Class 7.
The children are absolutely loving reading to you all, and can’t wait for next week!
You’re all superstars 🌟

Well done to all winners today – remember to update your house point charts before Wednesdays to be in with a chance of winning a prize!
A great end to the week with some competitive hockey. Each team worked really hard and I was so impressed with how every single person got stuck in and tried their best! Mrs Green and Mrs Hardman would have been proud with the technique and skills!
Well done to those with full kits this week 50hps each! – a reminder that PE is every Friday so outdoor PE kits will be needed please.
