Today we had a Christmas Party to celebrate all our hard work this term. We are so proud of the children for working hard every day. We have seen some amazing progress and are very excited for the Spring Term.

Christmas Competition Winners!
Well done to Abbie and Damion for winning our two Christmas competitions! The winning elf name was ‘Cinnamon’ and the total number of candy canes was 52. We managed to raise a fantastic total to go towards our Year 6 leavers fund so thank you for all of your donations.
A Very Special Visitor
Look who found the time to come and visit the children! The children were thrilled Santa came to visit them. Santa brought a special gift for every child. Thank you Santa for making the children’s Christmas magical!
Christmas Jumper Day: Save the Children 🎄🎅🏻
Last Friday, children were encouraged to wear a Christmas jumper and donate money to fundraise for the ‘Save the Children’ charity. As a school, we managed to raise an incredible £286 which will go towards helping many different families this Christmas. Thank you for the generosity of all who donated money!
Children in Need Competition: Winners!
Well done to our four winners in the Children in Need competition. Your entries were amazing!
Christmas Competition!
Tomorrow, members of the school council will be going around school selling entries for our two Christmas competitions: ‘Guess the name of the elf’ and ‘Guess the number of candy canes.’ Entries cost 50p each and the winner will win either an elf teddy or the box of candy canes.
We will also be selling packets of ‘Reindeer Food’ for 50p each. Please send any money in tomorrow and throughout the week if you are wanting to enter the competition. Winners will be announced on Friday morning. Thank you.

EYFS visit Smile A While
Today a group of our children visited their friends at Smile A While. The children gifted an activity pack they had created filled with activities for a party. They had written every member a Christmas card and customised them with their very own label. More importantly the children included their final product from this expedition. Each member received a bespoke badge and card to say thank you for our new friendship and the celebrations we have already shared together. We look forward to working with you in the new year and wish you all a very merry Christmas!
Phonics Lab
In phonics Lab this week we learned how to write a simple caption. We started by sounding out the words ‘it is a…’ and then we added the final word. We did 2 together with our teacher and then we had a go by ourselves without looking at any prompts. These are our independent attempts!
