EYFS fun!!!!

What a fun time we had today.   Investigating a class room crime.   The children came in from outside to find the classroom had been destroyed.  How shocked they all were.  They quickly got to work discussing what could of happened and how we need to go about it.  They learned all about checking for suspects and proving it wasn’t them.  Then this afternoon we followed clues to figure out who the real culprit was before going to look inside a real police van and telling them all about our day.

EYFS Celebrations

Look at all these superstars! We have had lots of children achieving their reading certificates over the last few weeks and we are very happy to report that we have our first ‘gold award’ winner. Congratulations to Annabel who is the first EYFS child to read 100 books!

Our reading ‘I wonder’ is if we can get all children in our classes to read more than 30 books? Which class will be the winner and have all their children read more than 30 books first?

Look at all our house point winners! These children have been working extra hard to achieve housepoints in their classes and have recieved a prize for having the highest amount of housepoints in their house team. Well done everyone and keep it up!

Amazing Maths Coaches

This week in Reception we are learning about addition. Some of our children loved the activity and wanted to repeat it over and over again. We talked about ‘coaching’ our friends. Libby and Hollie loved coaching any new children who wanted to join in with the activity and they did a great job of explaining the task to their friends. They were so good at it that their friends could then do the task successfully when they tried it by themselves. They can’t wait to do some more coaching tomorrow!

Super Homework

Look at this super homework!

Aidan decided he wanted to dress like a lifeguard as part of his homework. He found the jacket in a shop and then found all the other things he needed including a wetsuit! He then made his own accessory using a milk carton and explained how a lifeguard would use this to help them to rescue people who are in trouble in the water.

Isla and Poppy have both been busy making box model fire engines. We think these are awesome girls and we love all the little details you added too!

Ellie-Mai was so excited to show Class 3 a butterfly she had made at home. Well Done Ellie-Mai. It is a beautiful butterfly and really made us all smile!
