We’ve seen some exciting animals in the rainforest this morning including leaf-cutter ants, sloths and jaguars up close! It was amazing to see the animals in their habitat and it was very realisting!

Please take a few moments to have a look at the overview for our Expedition learning this term. Additionally, each child would greatly benefit from completing tasks weekly from our Homework Menu. Many thanks,
Y3/4 Team

We had a fab morning exploring the Amazon Rainforest through VR. I was also amazed with the knowledge and information you all had just from Hook Week! Well done for all your hard work and respect to our visitor too!

In RE today we talked about what it feels like to belong to a group. We then had some tasty muffins and chatted about sharing. A lovely end to the afternoon!

Please be aware that XP Outdoors will be happening on Wednesday for Year 3 this week, we will be back to our normal Tuesday next week. Please ensure your child brings in appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear on Wednesday.
Thank you, Mrs Dutton and Miss Cooper x
A huge shoutout to last weeks postcard winners. We had lots to celebrate from showing kindness and empathy, beautiful craftsmanship and quality when immersing our classroom and working hard in PE. I wonder who will be our winners this week?!

On the 24th September we are celebrating National Fitness Day! To get us ready and prepared we would like you to create some posters that we can have around school to inform children, staff and parents about the importance of fitness!
Watch the video below to collect some ideas for your poster.
Crew Council will be round this week to show you their examples too!
On 13th September it is Roald Dahl Story Day. To celebrate we are rolling out a whole school competition that we would love for you to get involved in.
What is your favourite Roald Dahl story? Who is your favourite character?
Can you design a poster, story spoon, story stone etc to show your favourite. The Reading Ambassadors will select their favourite from each year group and they will be displayed in our new reading library!
Bring your entries in before Friday 26th September

The children are loving their new White Rose Maths work books and have done brilliantly in our first sessions. For the first term we work in small adult led groups to complete the workbooks and the other children complete lab activities independently that are linked to the lesson objective. One of our outcomes last week was ‘Count objects from a larger amount’ and the children completed this super-cute activity.
Well done my maths wizards!

Check out the fantastic work these little heroes have completed during our Hook Week. We had a little taster of the exciting things we will be learning about over the next term and made some fantastic arts and crafts to immerse our classroom. Our class mascot Juicy also began to visit children for sleepover’s…something the children look forward to immensely. Watch out for him coming to visit you soon! We were sad that we couldn’t hold our Family Learning as planned but we are working on a new date and will have the information for you as soon as we can.
We hope to see as many of you as we can tomorrow evening for our Parents and Carers Meeting where we will be sharing important and useful information to help the term run smoothly.
See you all tomorrow
Miss R x
