Year 3/4 Competition Winners!

Huge well done to Lily Thompson and Charley Buck on winning our Year 3 and 4 competition.

We asked children across Year 3 and 4 to design their very own label that we could use at our end of theme celebration event for our chocolate product. We sent all of our entries up to Mr Butler to make the tough decision. Despite being so impressed by everyone’s efforts and creative designs, he picked Lily’s design as the Year 4 winner and Charley as our Year 3 winner.

Congratulations girls, your designs are absolutely fantastic and you’re both worthy winners. We can’t wait to show everybody at our celebration next week!

Enjoy your chocolate prize!!

Class 10 made it in the paper!

Here we are in the local paper at the Factory Shop event with our artwork. We didn’t win the national round but we still feel really lucky that we got the chance to take part as it was a fantastic opportunity!

Well done Class 10!

Boston Park Farm

Class 5 have had a fantastic time at Boston Park Farm today. We have seen so many different animals, been on a tractor ride, made crowns from leaves and petals and got lost in the maize maze. We even had time to play on the park before home time.

Thank you to all the adults that helped today we really appreciate it.

Our water cycle models

Yesterday afternoon, class 10 learnt all about the water cycle. Here are a few members of our class showing off the water cycle models they created and attached to our windows. They had so much fun!

Over the next few days, we will be monitoring the bags to see how much condensation they will collect. Class 10 have made lots of predictions so we can’t wait to see who gets the closest answer!

Chocolate poem

Class 10 have loved reading the Chocolate poem. I think they enjoyed it so much because whilst I was reading it, they got to hold some chocolate in their hand just like the child did in the poem. We had lots of interesting discussion about the poem. Why he was holding it so tightly and why did he not just eat it straight away. It was so interesting to hear such creative answers backed up by evidence from the poem.

Here is a little preview aftermath of having to hold the chocolate so tightly in their hands and a short verse from the now very popular poem.

Superstars! Hobbies out of school!

It’s always lovely to see what everyone gets up to outside of school so I was very proud to see these two absolute superstars bring in certificates for different awards.

Lily, well done in your latest dancing exam, you did amazing! Keep up the hard work and dedication! I hope to see you on broadway in the future (can I make a special request of front row seats now please?)!

Keira, you never seize to amaze me with your endless certificates for swimming and also martial arts. Again, keep up the hard work, dedication and determination. I hope to see you in the Olympics one day. I’ll be there cheering you on!

Well done girls!

Year 1/2 football tournament

 I

I don’t get to spend time with KS1 children, so it was a privilege to take them to the Keepmoat stadium, along side Mrs Hardman, to play in a football tournament this afternoon.

All three teams played so well and they were a credit to Green Top. Both boys teams just missed out on the semi-finals due to goal difference.

Our girls team got all the way to the final! They drew 2-2 and it resulted in penalties which we drew again! So we had to go to sudden death and we just missed out on the 7th penalty! All children made both Mrs Hardman and I so proud!

We had many intense games so we didn’t get many photos. If anyone managed to get some photos of the event, please forward them to [email protected]

Thank you so much to all the parents who supported our children today. It really is appreciated! The support was amazing!

Keep up the awesome teamwork KS1 and thank you for a very enjoyable afternoon!
