Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?🐺🐷🐷🐷
This week in Nursery we have started to explore our first key text of the term ‘The Three Little Pigs’. The children have LOVED listening to and acting out the story using some brilliant voices for the different characters. I have been so impressed with their creative ideas and how they have further explored the story in their play. Well done Nursery Crew!
Monday Heroes
Well done to today’s learning legends … Cara who was super kind to one of her friends today and Kaila who has been brave. A special shout-out also goes to Layla for her fantastic home learning – a fabulous under the sea collage. Well done girls!

In maths this week we have been exploring more and less and have been learning to use a rang of vocabulary such as more, less, least, most, fewer than and greater than.
ALL Block reading in Crew Jackson
This week the children have completed a range of reading activities. We have focused on understanding new vocabulary linked to our expedition on rainforests – ‘Why should we help our world survive?’. This led to a brilliant crew discussion around the links between the words vegetation, lush and thriving. The children have also accessed a traditional Amazon tale and discussed their opinions about the characters actions using evidence from the text to support their answers. As always we have ensured that the children have had the opportunity to access books for reading for pleasure too. I am so proud of you all guys – keep up the hard work!

Y6 Reading
Today we introduced our new text – My Name is River.
The children made predictions from the front cover about what they thought our new text would be about…
We then kicked back and had some refreshments while we read the first chapter!
What a lovely relaxing reading session 🙂
After some fantastic reading we had a silent discussion to build on our predictions – What do we know about the text now?
Class 5 crafts
Class 5 have had a brilliant start to the new term and have been transforming the classroom into an underwater adventure. Everyone has worked so hard and has taken their time to create beautiful art out of different materials to make something to be proud of! You can see the hard work, determination and concentration from everyone. Well done class 5!
Silent gallery critique
Year 1 tried their hand at watercolour washes today to paint these awesome underwater scenes. We invited year 2 to a silent gallery where they gave us some very useful critique on our work.
We hope you enjoyed looking at our paintings as much as we enjoyed creating them.
