Year 5/6 Product Launch

Year 5 and 6 have worked incredibly hard this term learning all about the rainforests. To celebrate their learning they have produced a fantastic re-usable calendar which will be on sale for all to buy! Our calendars will be sold at our celebration event on 18th December 2018 at 5pm. Calendars will be £7.50 to buy – a real bargain!

We hope to see you there!

A big well done from me to the choir and all the effort they put in rehearsing for the Christmas light switch on. A lovely little video here (thank you Miss Knowles) and thank you to all of the support from parents, friends and family. Feeling very festive now!

Tis the season to get growing!

Year 5 are beginning to see the results of their green fingers and hard work as the garlic and carrots they planted 3 weeks ago are beginning to sprout.

Autism Awareness Week Prize Winners!!

I would like to say a big Thank You to all the children and teachers at Green Top for the fantastic work they completed to celebrate World Autism Week during Aspiration Week on the theme of “It’s OK to be Different!”.

We shared stories, learnt how to support a friend with autism and learnt that we a re all different – and that’s OK!

The class activities inspired one year 5 boy to write about his own personal experiences and then share it in assembly!

As a result of our activities, we won a prize from TTS Group – an education supplier – of £150 of resources to support communication and sensory needs! A fantastic prize that will be put to very good use!!

If anyone has any questions about Autism or would like more information, please contact Mrs Graves in school

Attendance Winners

Class 14 and 15 were joint winners of the Year 5/6 attendance award! However, Class 14 managed to sneak it into our classroom where we are hoping it will stay! Keep up the great work guys and keep coming to school!!

Family Learning

Year 5/6 have had a great family learning event today! They had such fun making slime (or at least trying to!). When they weren’t brewing slime they were busy creating and designing lots of potions, bottles and labels! Some even learnt how to draw Harry Potter!

Green Screen fun!

The fun didn’t stop today as Year 5/6 had fun at flying lessons! They even had time to practise their duelling skills with their wands!
