Brilliant day in Class 6

What a great day we have had in Class 6 today…Kalab showed us his fishing medal, Ellis his Pokemon drawing and Deacon an acorn that he found which he intends to plant to see if he can grow an oak tree!

We also tried our hand at acting by reading, rehearsing and performing speeches we had written linked to our class text Let the Children March which tells the story of the Birmingham children’s marches in 1963 organised by Martin Luther King in support of civil rights. See our videos here.

Our Learning Legends today were Elina, for showing her Be Kind
HoWL by helping her friends and Savannah for her fabulous performance in our speeches.

Awesome job as always everyone!

Wonderful out of school achievements

Junior and Nathaniel shared their awesome achievements with us today and we would thought you’d like to see them too.

Junior took part in a football tournament and was awarded these fabulous medals, even being named man of the match!

Nathaniel watched a video to help him draw this super scary, screaming witch picture.

We love seeing what you get up to out of school guys!

Getting Smart and Being Kind in Class 6

Our 2 superstars Radu and Tyler were shining examples our Get Smart and Be Kind HoWLs today. They listened carefully to, and followed instructions, and were fabulous friends, making sure their classmates had the correct equipment to complete their tasks. Our student teachers Miss Wilkins and Mr Wright and I were very impressed by your awesome learning habits. Well done.

There’s a new Mayor in town!

As part of immersing ourselves in our new Expedition class 6 have been discussing how decisions are made and learning about campaigning and a fair voting system.

Check out the gallery for the children’s ideas about what changes they would like to see at Green Top and the voting process for our new class mayor.

Big congratulations to………………….(drum roll please)……….

IMOGEN!!!!!

The children made speeches to encourage the others to vote for them and it was a very close race, with Imogen just pipping Nathaniel to the post.

I love how grown up you all were about the process.

Great job!

Considering Superheroes

Class 6 have worked amazingly today to discuss and act out those jobs that make a difference to all our lives. Check out the gallery of pictures and see if you can guess the jobs.

Also a big shout out to Reeva who produced a beautiful poster of her very own Superhero…her dog, Bonnie.

Well done everyone x
