We went down to the ‘ball park’ and it was filled with budding baseball ears trying to hit a home run. What a lovely lunchtime and so full of enthusiasm. Well done Year 1 and 2 for being so sensible and getting into the baseball spirit!

We loved our America day, whether it was rocking with Mr Pickles or dancing with Mrs Rayner. Thank you so much for all of the fun we had!
Over the past couple of Expedition lessons, Class 7 have been historians and researching Martin Luther King and the impact he had on other people’s lives. We worked together to find the key information and then wrote our very own fact file!
A huge thank you and shout out to Mr Pickles and Mrs Raynor for their awesome activities for our children. We all loved rocking out with Mr Pickles and his electric guitar and and dancing a cheerleader routine with Mrs Raynor. It’s been a fabulous day!
A huge thank you to everyone who came to our Nursery book and a biscuit event today, we hope you enjoyed buying a few treats and reading stories with your little ones.
A big thank you to Miss Myers who brought two piglets from her farm to visit nursery this morning. This was to support our phonics learning this week when we have been singing ‘Old McDonald had a farm’ and learning about animal sounds.
The children showed great care for the piglets and thoroughly enjoyed stoking them.
We have had a beautiful day in Nursery with so much purposeful play. We’ve had some excellent examples of quality role play. The children have been developing their speech and language skills and built friendships when playing hairdressers, beauticians, waitresses and cafe owners, mummies and daddies and police officers.
The children have also been really engaged in playing with the trains and play dough today. Making bigger and smaller cakes linked to our maths work on size and singing happy birthday linked to our expedition learning.
What a wonderful happy day!
TOMORROW
On Wednesday 1st October Nursery will be opening the doors from 8.30 – 9.30am for our family book and a biscuit event. All family members are welcome to come and share a story with their nursery child.Â
We will also be hosting a used toy and book sale to raise money for nursery resources so please bring some money with you! We have some great toys on offer at very reasonable prices for your children to enjoy at home.
The nursery children went on a nature walk this morning to explore how our environment is changing in Autumn. We talked about the weather and linked our senses to the environment around us. The children came up with some great sentences and adjectives to describe the season and were excellent at following rules and routines when moving around our school.
Excellent work Nursery Crew!
