Well done little scientists!

This afternoon the children worked collaboratively to sort sea creatures into those that live in the water only and those that can live in both water and land.  They then went on to begin thinking about how some sea creatures are mammals, some are fish and some are invertebrates!  Fantastic science learning class 5!

It was a pleasure to lead F2 and KS1 assembly this morning and to see the children sitting beautifully and listening so carefully to the different ways we can earn house points and win prizes.  Keep it up everyone!

What an amazing start Class 5!

Wow! Today Class 5 have blown me away with their enthusiasm, great attitude to learning and superb behaviour.  What an amazing start!

We have done so much all in our first day.  The children worked hard to follow instructions using the remember to pictures on the board to remind them when making a jellyfish and then this afternoon worked independently to make crabs, all to enhance our under the sea area in our classroom.  It now looks amazing!

I was so impressed with their efforts in handwriting practice.  They were brilliant when first practising with chalk but then could not have impressed me more when writing such small, neat letters in our new lined books.  During free time Lilly went on to want to do more writing to show how hard she has been working to get better.

I am super proud of all of you and know that this year is going to be fantastic!  Take a look below at today’s photos of our amazing day!
