Christmas Competition!
Tomorrow, members of the school council will be going around school selling entries for our two Christmas competitions: ‘Guess the name of the elf’ and ‘Guess the number of candy canes.’ Entries cost 50p each and the winner will win either an elf teddy or the box of candy canes.
We will also be selling packets of ‘Reindeer Food’ for 50p each. Please send any money in tomorrow and throughout the week if you are wanting to enter the competition. Winners will be announced on Friday morning. Thank you.
Children in Need: Competition Winners
Thank you to all of those children who entered the Children in Need competition. There were some fantastic designs but our school council have managed to choose one winning entry from each phase. Well done to the winners, prizes will be sent out to you shortly.

Save the Children: Christmas Jumper Day
On Friday 10th December, we will be having a Christmas jumper day to raise money for the ‘Save the Children’ charity. Children are encouraged to come to school wearing a Christmas jumper or t-shirt and bring a donation of £1. Thank you for your support, we can’t wait to see your Christmas outfits!

Super Artwork
Year 6 have created some wonderful artwork, taking inspiration from Quentin Blake, to draw and paint The Rocket using ink and watercolours.
Well done! They are all amazing!
Next week we will be celebrating Children in Need on Thursday 18th November!
Thursday will be a dress up day where we are inviting children to wear something spotty and bright coloured! Any donations on the dress up day for Children in Need will be gratefully received.
Our school council are also holding a couple of competitions which will be running next week.

The Learning Council members really enjoyed visiting the Year 5/6 classrooms yesterday to watch maths in actions! They captured lots of lovely learning happening which you can check out below!
Also, a big thank you to all those that have taken part in our ‘guess the sweets’ activity! We will be visiting EYFS on Friday to take their guesses and then will reveal the winner next week! The Learning Council can’t wait!
Delicious Chocolate Frogs!
Thank you to Brendan (and mum!) and his friends who spent time making everyone in Year 6 their own chocolate frog linking to our recent learning on Harry Potter!
They were super thoughtful, delicious and very much appreciated!

Year 6 enjoyed a lovely wellbeing crew this morning where we looked at different feelings and how we might recognise those feelings on others and in ourselves. We then discussed who we might share our feelings with whether they were good or bad! We made paper chains with the names of all our trusted people who we would feel safe talking to to remind us that there is always someone to listen to us!
