Y5/6 have spent the afternoon having a skype interview with former NASA astronaut Don Thomas. We were all inspired about his journey training to be an astronaut and what it is like living in space. Hopefully one day we might see a child from Green Top going to space.
We’re currently listening to what life is like for an Astronaut- live from America!
Wow! We are currently Skyping Don Thomas (an astronaut) all the way from Baltimore! Learning about his experiences in space is truly so exciting and inspiring!
On Friday, Y5 had the pleasure of attending a science lesson at Trinity. The children took part in a range of practical activites linked to biology, chemistry and physics. Everyone was hooked into the lesson and really enjoyed the practical experiments. Well done to everyone I was really impressed with your hard work and attitude to learning.
Well done to this weeks winners! Keep up the good work everyone!
Y5 have had a great first day back visiting Leicester Space Centre. The children got to learn more about how the science & technology behind space journeys work amongst other exciting features.
Well done to all of our worthy winners this week and a big well done to all those who have remembered to keep house points regularly updated!
We had a great time today visiting Mr Humprey (Science Teacher) at Trinity Academy to listen to a lecture about space. We learnt many new facts and also how to give a lecture to an audience. Green Top staff were blown away by the amazing questions our children asked and the sophisticated facts they shared with each other.
