The children are enjoying snacks, popcorn and minions!! What a lovely night we’ve had so far!
The children are having an awesome time at their camp! They’ve just finished burgers and hotdogs and are now singing round the campfire! The children have been super and even survived the rain!
Year 5 spent this morning out and about in the community, litter picking and delivering ‘Thank you’ notes to people who help us! Some of us were extremely lucky to be invited into the Fire Station for a look around! This ties in perfectly with our Transition guiding question “How can our Crew be strengthened by acts of service to others?“…bring on our Campout to end a perfect day!
Thank you all for an amazing year-my first as a teacher! Thank you for the highs and lows, the challenges and the fun and thank you for the appreciation! Go smash Year 6!! Massive hugs to you all xxx
Rewards for 100% attendance were handed out in Crew Walton today…plus green certificates for being here for entire year and orange certificates for those who attended for the whole of the last term! Well done!
We had so much fun getting to know one another in Crew Walton today! Our action packed day ended with some Crew Building activities which were challenging and exciting! Bring on tomorrow!
Thank you to all who attended our Celebration of Learning today! It was wonderful to see children sharing their expert knowledge with their adults. We looked at some Egyptian artefacts, made hieroglyphic bookmarks, produced some beautiful sketches, experimented with dress-up and we even had a sneak preview of our Tik Tok videos…all washed down with a healthy mocktail!
This afternoon in Y5/6 Family Learning the children took part in different activities linked to being healthy. Myself and Miss Walton, enjoyed hosting a Ready Steady Cook challenge and we had a fantastic time creating healthy and creative dishes. Check the wonderful dishes below.
Well done everyone – I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!

Good Evening,
Tomorrow, Year 5 will be filming their final videos for their Expedition product.
Children are welcome to come to school wearing their appropriate school PE kit.
If children still have their Egyptian outfit / costume from the dress up day please could these also be brought to school to change into during filming.
Many thanks,
Year 5 Crew!
