Reminder: Easter Experience

Tomorrow will be our Easter Experience session for children in Reception. A team from Doncaster Schools Work Trust will deliver an interactive workshop telling the story of Jesus’ life over Easter and the events of Holy Week.

The charity are kindly donating their services for free and invite parents and carers to make a voluntary contribution towards covering the cost of the gift each child will take home. If you would like to do so please bring £2 to school tomorrow.

Phonics

In phonics this week we are learning the phoneme /or/ as in the word ‘corn’.

Our shared reading book is called ‘Jam Tarts in the Dark’.

Next week on Monday 28th and Tuesday 29th March we are going to be visited by a team from Doncaster Schools Work Trust. The children in Nursery and Reception will take part in a workshop which will be a hands on interactive experience telling them the story of Jesus’ life over Easter and the events of Holy Week.

Phonics Update

The children have been working super hard in their phonics and shared reading sessions over the last few weeks and we are seeing lots of success!

Soft Play

F2 were very lucky to have a soft play session today! The children loved exploring the different equipment and finding different ways to use it.

Tin Foil Boats

We were challenged to make a boat that could float and carry the gingerbread man safely over the water. We had lots of fun!

HoWL Point Winners!

Congratulations to our HoWL point winners this week; Ted, Arnie and George! Wonderful work, reading and home learning has supported these boys to be wonderful yet again. I am so proud of how kind they are every day and such role models to their friends! Keep up the great work!

Red Nose Day!

A reminder that red noses will continue to be on sale this week up until the day itself. They are priced at £1.50 per red nose and we only have a limited number remaining so make sure that you get yours bought early! School councillors will be bringing them round during morning crew.
