Our 2 superstars Radu and Tyler were shining examples our Get Smart and Be Kind HoWLs today. They listened carefully to, and followed instructions, and were fabulous friends, making sure their classmates had the correct equipment to complete their tasks. Our student teachers Miss Wilkins and Mr Wright and I were very impressed by your awesome learning habits. Well done.

Today has been an awesome day in class 6 with the children showing fantastic learning attitudes and Working Hard to Get Smart. Well done Thea, Kalab and Olivia.
A huge well done to all our class 6 superstars for adapting beautifully to their new workload in year 1. Our Learning Legends today are Rhys and Radu.  Awesome job guys!

Wow! What a fantastic start to our KS1 expedition … What will I do to be a superhero in my community? All of the children looked amazing in their hero dress-up and we ended the day with a protest to parents against litter on our school grounds. Remember – Pick up litter! Use the bins!
Well done everyone.
As part of immersing ourselves in our new Expedition class 6 have been discussing how decisions are made and learning about campaigning and a fair voting system.
Check out the gallery for the children’s ideas about what changes they would like to see at Green Top and the voting process for our new class mayor.
Big congratulations to………………….(drum roll please)……….
IMOGEN!!!!!
The children made speeches to encourage the others to vote for them and it was a very close race, with Imogen just pipping Nathaniel to the post.
I love how grown up you all were about the process.
Great job!
Class 6 have worked amazingly today to discuss and act out those jobs that make a difference to all our lives. Check out the gallery of pictures and see if you can guess the jobs.
Also a big shout out to Reeva who produced a beautiful poster of her very own Superhero…her dog, Bonnie.
Well done everyone x
This morning, KS1 celebrated the end of sports week with a mini sports day event. Even though we couldn’t share this with spectators this year, the cheering was still spectacular and the racing highly skilled … Well done to all involved!
This afternoon, Year 2 have gone football crazy for sports week … skills practice and a mini tournament have put a smile on everybody’s face 🙂
KS1 were so excited to take receipt of their Summer expedition final product … a set of round-the-world Top Trump recipe cards!
Our expedition explored the question, ‘what does the food we eat tell us about the world around us?’.
The cards look fantastic and we are only disappointed that we can’t share them with you straight away due to the number of KS1 children currently self- isolating. With this in mind, we will launch the product when we return to school in September and offer everyone the opportunity to purchase their very own set.

Sports week has got off to a great start for the Year 2 children who are still at school. Monday saw us practising skills such as balancing, jumping and throwing followed by an exciting game of bench dodgeball in the hall. Today has been all about cricket with skills practice this morning. Unfortunately it was just too hot to play cricket this afternoon so we opted for a water game in the shade instead!
We hope all our friends at home are staying cool … We miss you!
