Today was Cohens first day back in school and he’s had a brilliant time! He asked if he could do some gardening in Forest School and Mr Kershaw is super impressed with the results! Well done Cohen and Elizebeth. Isobel also created a gorgeous silhouette painting! What a lovely day to end the week! 😊
Yesterday, the children in school enjoyed creating their athletic sculptures using tin foil. They then created and drew around the shadows. Well done guys, you were all Stickability Stan’s and did an awesome job!
I have been blown away with some of the short stories I have read today. Shout out to Emily, Noah, Isobel and Heidi for their brilliant stories linking to sport. You have used the fishbone and your learning from the past couple of weeks to include lots of writing features – Well done guys!
Well done to Thomas, Corey, Evan and Isobel for their hard work in Expedition today. You have used the models and slides brilliantly to understand light and shadow and your diagrams are awesome! I couldn’t choose just one so you are all Learning Legends today!
Lucas is our learning legend today for being a Motivated Mo in his Maths and English! You have worked really hard and improved your accuracy in your answers. Well done 😊
As many of you know annually we run a Green Top’s Got Talent contest, this year this will need to be done virtually.
Anyone wishing to enter has until the closing date below to prepare their act, video it and send it to the [email protected] email address.
Dependent on the number of entries we receive we will either have ‘heats’ in phases and a final of the top 3 from each heat. Or we will run one whole school competition for the final.
Mrs Overson and I will approach some independent judges to decide on the winners.
All children entering will receive a medal an certificate.
All talents are welcome we have had singers, dances, gymnasts, comedians, martial arts routines, magicians and BSL performances in the past among many others. You can choose something and enter it.
The video sent to Mrs Overson should be no more than 3 minutes long and social distancing guidance should be followed during your clip. All entries must be received by Monday 22nd June at 5pm.
We look forward to sharing the compilation of entries with you all later that week.

WOW! So proud of Ryan using his initiative in his own time to create a fact file based on football legend, Diego Maradona. I was so impressed with his efforts that I have used it as part of our reading lesson today! We have enjoyed responding to questions based on Ryan’s informative fact file.
Well done to Matthew and Noah for using the text to accurately respond to the questions.

Well done Ryan and Emily you have both been Motivated Mo’s today in your learning. You have really impressed me with the accuracy of your measurements in maths and also your knowledge and understanding of different writing features in English correctly identifying and using nouns, verbs and adverbs in your writing.
Well done to Ryan and Charlie who received their trophies and medals this weekend from their football teams. Unfortunately, the boys presentation evening couldn’t be held but their coaches made sure they were still recognised for their achievements!
Massive shout-out to Ryan for receiving the Players player award! We’re all very proud of you, you thoroughly deserve it after all your hard work and commitment to football! Well done boys!!
