The nursery children this week have been learning all about subtraction. They have been using words such as taking away, less, one less than and even subtraction! Here is a song you can sing and sign at home together to take away from 5. Have fun!
A huge well done to Nathaniel for ‘Homework of the week’. Everyone was very impressed with Nathaniel’s creative work and even more so the confidence he spoke with while presenting it to his friends. Good job Nathaniel!
Again another fantastic week in nursery for our homework day! I am so proud to see the children showing confidence as they talk to each other about their home learning and experiences. This week I would like to say a huge well done to
Harper- for her out of school achievement at dance
Ethan- for his model fire engine
A fantastic visit from PCSO Ben this week with a police van vehicle. The children enjoyed chatting about how they help keep our community safe and the wonderful work that they do. The children enjoyed looking inside the van and the experience that can happen to others when they make the wrong choices! We look forward to working with them again soon.
This week in nursery the children will be exploring adding groups together to make more and count the total. Here is a fun song you can try at home to help you with adding doubles! Can you play finger doubles as you sing? Can you see that you have two groups of objects that are the same ?
A huge thank you to Paramedics and Grandparents Helen and Pete for taking time out to bring their vehicle in to school. The children were both amazed and inspired to help each other more and become health professionals in the future.
A massive shout out to these children for their wonderful homework over the last few weeks. The children have discovered more at home about who our real life heroes are and confidently shared their work with friends in class. Homework includes drawings of police cars, recycling, recognising shapes on an ambulance, designing a plate of healthy foods, creating thank you cards and a picture of a lollipop lady. A huge thank you to all our families who have donated to the food bank. This morning they were very thankful to receive your donations and are hoping to personally come and thank the children in school.

Well done to all the children that have taken part in the maths challenges throughout the week! A huge well done to Jack Rothwell our overall nursery assembly winner!
