A bigger step towards our library! Thank YOU!

A massive thank you to all our parents, carers and family members who helped the children make some fantastic weapons this afternoon in our family learning session linked to our latest expedition, Rags to Riches: What lies within the castle walls?.
They were given the challenge of helping the children to use their design and technology skills to plan, create, improve and test a catapult similar to those used to attack the medieval castles that the children have been studying. We had a fabulous afternoon using the different resources available and finished off by testing each of the catapults to see how far they would fire a missile.
All the children had a wonderful time and love showing off their learning at these events which wouldn’t be such a success without your continuing support! We are SO grateful.
PS. I hope you enjoyed the story!
Well done to those who attended our little sports club! We practiced our throwing at lunch today and I can’t believe how many Year 1s and 2s turned up. After half term, we will have other activities as well!
Class 7 have been hard at work today, by writing up a draft of their Three Little Knights story. We have been working hard on making sure that our writing looks as neat as it does in our handwriting books, but now in our Expedition books! Let’s see who will get our special pencils to write with!
Another lovely week of shoutouts and celebrating all the hard work of last week! We’re so proud of you all!
Matilda and Henry have been finding different places around the house to read their books!
Arnie has been out and about completing multiple acts of kindness for his family, friends and those in the community. Great job Arnie!
