I had to share some of the online writing that I have been reading because I am so proud of how hard they are working and the pride they are taking in their work is just incredible. The photos are of some of the children that wanted to share their work.
I have also typed up some of the sentences that I have marked over the last few days because I feel they need to be seen by as many people as possible. THEY ARE AMAZING!!!!
The dragon has red, nasty eyes that glow like fire.
On top of his head stands black, spiky horns.
It smells like a bonfire in the sky.
He stamps his hairy feet through the mountains.
The dragon has a loud and terrifying roar!
He has sharp, pointy teeth, cutting though his mouth.
Rumbling from deep within his chest a thundering roar chased through the mountains.
Stretching slowly, the dragon opens his wings, ready to glide over the hills.

How awesome are these dragon drawings created by Y2 to help inspire us in our descriptive writing?
Talk about Work Hard to Get Smart!
We are blown away by the quality of work you continue to produce both at home and in the classroom!
We can’t wait to see the writing based on this amazing art work.
Hi everyone.
We will be emailing you over the next week or so with your log in details for TT Rockstars, a fantastic online times tables game where you can choose your Avatar and practise fluency in times table questions set by your teacher. Each time you play you will win coins to spend in the Rockstar shop on clothes and other musical accessories. Don’t worry if you cannot answer many questions at first…the important thing is to stick with your practising so you improve all the time…just like a real Rockstar! You will focus a a small number of questions presented in different ways to begin with and, as you become better at answering them, more will be added in until you are a times tables superstar. If you have any issues let me know and I will do my best to help you.
Look at for an email in the next week with your log in details, search for TT Rockstars on your search engine and away you go.
Have a great weekend Miss Rodgers, Mrs Shaw and Mrs Dutton x
The children made origami paper boats today and had lots of fun when they went outside and tested them to see if they would actually float…and they did!
We also talked a lot about what other materials would be good for floating and they came up with plastic water bottles, sponge, wood and leather like on footballs.
Great work year 4 from Mrs Hardman!
Well done year 2! Not only did the children in school create brilliant anchor charts, ready for their writing tomorrow but everyone online also came up with super phrases using verbs and adverbs. I can’t wait to read your descriptions tomorrow

I have loved seeing what you have been making at home and all of your visits to peel hill during your daily exercise. You are making me so proud! Well done!

Lawson has blown me away with his dedication to his learning during the last two weeks. He is really hooked into our expedition and at home has created a brilliant cave painting using his new knowledge of the Stone Age. In school, he has worked hard to complete a timeline showing the evolution of PlayStation. It’s so lovely to see you proud of your achievements Lawson – well done!!
