Jigsawing our learning

Class 6 spent a reflective afternoon working in groups to discuss their learning from our last case study before completing their final piece of writing. They then jigsawed – sent a representative from each group to another – to ensure they had not missed any facts. What a great way to consolidate your knowledge!

We are mathematicians

In Crew Jackson today we explored using protractors accurately to measure angles. I was very impressed with them referring each other back to the remember to list so that they all used them correctly.

Well done guys!

Run, Run As Fast As You Can…

Today we hooked into Case Study Three in our current Expedition by sharing our key text ‘The Gingerbread Man’. All children then started to create their own Gingerbread Man or Woman using salt dough. We’re now waiting for them to dry out so we can paint them and add decorative features later in the week. I’m looking forward to seeing the final products!

Arithmetic Crew Session

In crew this morning, everyone in Crew Knowles looked at their past arithmetic papers and picked out the questions that they have previously struggled with.

This will really support everyone individually in the run up to SATs to really practise and apply the skills that they don’t feel as confident with.

Learning Legends

Look at the proud faces on Reeva, Imogen, Deacon and Kalab today on discovering they had won our learning legend awards. For wonderful maths work and fabulous learning choices, we salute you!

Keep up the good work!
