Another lovely morning listening to lots of positive comments about our Crew Champions this week. Well done to our Howl Point winners and to Crew Barnett and Crew Walton/Oldridge for winning the total prize!

KS1 would like to invite our parents and carers to attend a hero-studded awards event to celebrate the achievements of the wonderful people in our community. The children have been busy writing presentation speeches and rehearsing their hand-shakes in preparation for the ceremony and cannot wait to welcome you all!
DATE: Thursday 23rd November
PLACE: Green Top School Hall
TIME: 4 – 5pm
Refreshments will be available and there will also be the chance to buy a digital copy of the amazing photographs that were taken of the children during our superhero dress up day at the beginning of term.
Please fill in this Google Form to request seats at the event. There is no limit to the number of other children you can bring but the adult seats will be restricted to 2 per KS1 class member.
If your child attends an after school club you could send in party clothes for them to change into and meet them at the ceremony. If not, you could take them home to change and return to school in time for the awards to begin at 4pm.
The children are looking forward to welcoming you all!
What a wonderful afternoon we spent today with our parents and carers at our family learning event. We got crafty to make crackers and gift boxes and used wrapping paper, sparkles and lots of love to wrap presents to spread Christmas cheer in our community. The gifts will be donated to The Thorne and Moorends Food Bank at our celebration of learning which will take place next Thursday (please see other blog post for details of how to book seats).
Today’s event wouldn’t have been as successful as it was without your support and for that, as always, we are so thankful.
Looking forward to seeing you all next week
The Y1 team xx

In G Block we have been sketching the Greek Temple as part of their Roman expedition link. Well done guys you have all worked hard on these.
A HUGE well done to Nahla in Crew Mumby who has made a fantastic start to AR in year 6. Through her love of reading and enthusiasm for a challenge, Nahla has already achieved her target for the number of books read and points achieved set for the whole year!! Great work!!
Year 4 parents, please find information regarding the MTC which the children will sit in June.
We are working really hard on times tables in school and will continue to do so throughout the year in the run up to the MTC.
You can help at home by encouraging your child to use their TTRockstars account regularly. Jamming and Soundcheck modes are particularly useful.
What a super afternoon Class 10 had collaborating with each other on the tricky concept of inverse – doing the opposite to show if you are correct! It’s fair to say Class 10 got stuck right in and produced some great team work to ensure that all of us could understand this concept!
