May the Force be With You!

Last night, Year 5 celebrated their learning exploration by delivering a lecture to their parents and VIPs! The lecture was held at Trinity Academy and was based on the current theme ‘What Lights up our World?’ The lecture focused on ‘forces’ and was a great celebration of the learning that has taken place over the last term.

The Year 5’s were extremely confident, and their presentation skills were phenomenal! They did themselves, their parents, and us, extremely proud!

Thank you for all that came and supported and we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!

Bradley’s homemade puppet…

Bradley made a super puppet as part of his home learning. Well done Bradley for all of you wonderful home learning you have completed this term! We’ve all loved seeing your creations. 🙂

WOW writing!

Lucy-May, Ollie, Harlow, James, Dante and Jacob knocked my socks off with their amazing instructions for how to make animal biscuits. They all tried incredibly hard and were given a big thumbs up from Mrs Ogle when they visited her to show off their fabulous work. Well done everybody! I’m very proud of you! 🙂

Fabulous Phonics

In KS1 we teach phonics every day to support our children with their reading and writing skills. This week we have been learning the wh, ey, ew and oe digraphs.

I wonder if you could practice reading and writing words with these digraphs in at home…

wh – when, why, what, who, where

ey – money, donkey, valley, honey, turkey

ew – new, crew, blew, knew, pew

oe – toe, foe, sloe

Ryan and Faith worked so hard today and were able to put their new learnt words into sentences. Well done! 🙂

Beautiful handwriting in Class 6

Ruby, Miriam, Dante, Ellie and Bradley all tried really hard with their hand writing practice today. Well done! You’re all amazing!

I wonder…could you do some handwriting at home to improve your cursive letter formation in your homework book?

Money Magic!

The children have been very busy in Class 6 revisiting and revising their money knowledge to help them add amounts.

Wonderful work in class 3 this week

We have had lots of ‘Have a go Henry’s’ in class 3 this week.

I challenged this children to add labels and captions to their work and the work produced following our Red Riding Hood story absolutely blew me away! Well done guys!!

Collaboration masters in theme.

This group of children in class 11 yesterday absolutely amazed me with their collaboration skills.  They worked so well as a group and organised their own learning. Each member was involved and had a role to fulfill which meant they achieved and made outstanding progress. Well done!!

Phonics focus for class 3 this week

In class 3 this week we have been blending the sounds we learnt last half term to read CVC words

.

Here the children were adding sound buttons to the CVC words to help them read the words.

In this activity the children were taking it in turns to be the leader and checking their groups knowledge of the sounds.

Wonderful Writing

After all their hard work editing and improving class 11 completed their final touchdowns.  You all worked so hard and did an amazing job, thank you for all your hard work!!
