Our week so far in Year 1..

Well it’s Wednesday and we’ve already done so much!!
We’ve began to build our crew with fun activities like our human knot! We learnt about shapes, we’ve sang about the days of the week and the months of the year. As a class we read and discussed a new book, Mixed, and have thought hard about our feelings and how our actions affect others. We created some beautiful colour wheels in art and retold the story in a comic strip in English.
Class 5 are flourishing in their induction into year 1 and I can’t wait for September!

Well done so far! Miss Good

Little Stars!

Well Done to Charlie, Malaney and Mila-Rose. What lovely things to hear. You are absolute superstars. Keep it up!

Wow look at these two superstars! Well done to Penny and Spencer for a super day in nursery. What lovely things your teachers have said about you both and I loved your writing Spencer!

Making 3D shapes from a range of materials

Once the children had become experts in 3D shapes and their nets, they used this knowledge to then build and make their own using a range of fun and creative materials. Spaghetti and marshmallows, art straws and blue tack, paper and polydron shapes.

The children were all working hard and most definitely getting smart and they created some amazing and accurate 3D shapes. Well done!

Class 9 out of this world

This week Millie was chosen for out of this world due to her positive learning attitude and hard work. She is always thinking about how she can improve and achieve green standard. We are super proud of her and she fully deserves to wear the yellow t’shirt.

What a superstar!
