We’re Hooked!

It’s been a wonderful few days so far of ‘Hook Week’. Here are some of the things Class 6 have been getting up to…

Here are the children 5 minutes in to the day on Monday morning enjoying our new Thorne Park themed reading area.

Here we are on Monday making lists about what is in Thorne Town.

Yesterday, the children got a little sticky and made lolly stick houses for them to display their family portraits.

Would you like to live in a place like this?

Class 5 have had an amazing start to hook week and have loved exploring our new theme Would you like to live in a place like this?

The children had lots of discussion about the places that we could find in Thorne and they presented their ideas to the class.

They had lots of information and I think they taught Miss Cooper and I a thing or two!!

What a great start Class 5

Green Screen fun!

The fun didn’t stop today as Year 5/6 had fun at flying lessons! They even had time to practise their duelling skills with their wands!

Transfiguration – reversible or irreversible?

Year 5/6 took part in a Harry Potter inspired transfiguration lesson today where they looked at changing state. The children melted chocolate and made toast and had to decide whether the changes were reversible or irreversible!

Christmas with the Aliens…

I’m so incredibly proud of these children. They have all worked to hard to learn the songs, actions, dances and lines for our Christmas play. I’m getting very excited for our final 2 performances tomorrow and know the children will all shine like stars!

A big thank you to all parents and carers for your support with the wonderful costumes. They all look fantastic! 🙂
