Kalab and Lexi were the winners of our postcards for today. Excellent learning habits shown by both in their 3D shape lesson taught by Mr. Wright. So proud of you guys!

How lovely it was to all be back together for the first time in almost 2 years this morning when we held our Out of This World assembly. I was overjoyed to finally be able to reward Junior and Shae for their hard work and dedication since beginning year 1. I am positive they will be fantastic role models for the rest of our class in the coming week. Excellent job you two ! X

Our new class text for the last part of our expedition in Revolting Rhymes by Roald Dahl and the children had lots of fun reading his version of Little Red Riding Hood, watching the video and then using role play and mime to act it out. Properties of 2D shape was our theme today and, boy, do these guys know their stuff! Excellent fluency and reasoning shown by Deacon, Tyler and Elina.

Continuing with our maths week theme we have 3 new maths wizards in class 6.

Maddison, Bobby and Hunter blew us away today with their excellent knowledge of 2D and 3D shape in our geometry blast off this morning.

Super proud of you guys

A huge well done to our first maths learning legend of the week, Imogen. She dazzled us with her knowledge of money in our touchdown, recognising and ordering coins and making amounts like a pro.

We have all been learning about Diwali this week in community crew and we were lucky enough in class 6 to have a student who is taking part in the 5 day Festival of Light celebrations. Haran told us all about how he will celebrate over the coming days and even brought in these delicious treats for our class so we could be part of the festivities.

A huge well done to all the winners of HoWL certificate winners in our phase assembly this morning. Those from class 6 winning awards were Hunter, Tallon and Kalab for Work Hard, Be Kind and Get Smart respectively and our overall points winner was Shae. Ellis-Jude won the Be Kind certificate in Crew O’Neill and Adam was our Reading champion this week.

Great job guys…really proud of you all!
