A huge well done and congratulations to all of our house point winners this week. Keep up the hard work!
We made straw houses from the story of The 3 Little Pigs out of dried spaghetti. The children thought carefully about what length of spaghetti they needed to cut to fit onto the house template.

We are so proud of all the achievements in key stage 1 and reception today.
We had our weekly house point winners that had been earning top house points for great learning and behaviour. I was so happy to see some of our yellow top wearers up there this morning setting a great example to the rest of school.
We had some amazing achievements in dancing too! Nahla had some beautiful photographs of her medals and she looked stunning in her Irish dancing outfit. It was amazing to see so many medals given out for our girls, well done!
Last but not least we had our gold award reading certificates. These children had read more than a hundred times and got to choose a book from the reading box. We also had lots of other children that were awarded with bronze and silver reading certificates and I was blown away that some were the second or third certificate to be awarded.
What incredibly talented children we have at Green Top! Keep working hard everyone we can’t wait to see what you achieve in the future.
Tyler was our Mindfulness Mentor this morning, leading us in a meditation to help us calm our feelings by imagining we were blowing snow on an angry volcano.
A huge thank you to all of our parents and carers who came to celebrate our learning achievements this half term and more importantly at the end of the year. Your support is very much appreciated and means so much to the children involved. We hope this gave you a little insight into the phenomenal learning journey we have all taken part in this year and I’m sure you has as much fun as the children!
I would like to say a big Thank You to all the children and teachers at Green Top for the fantastic work they completed to celebrate World Autism Week during Aspiration Week on the theme of “It’s OK to be Different!”.
We shared stories, learnt how to support a friend with autism and learnt that we a re all different – and that’s OK!
The class activities inspired one year 5 boy to write about his own personal experiences and then share it in assembly!
As a result of our activities, we won a prize from TTS Group – an education supplier – of £150 of resources to support communication and sensory needs! A fantastic prize that will be put to very good use!!
