This morning we have enjoyed the opportunity to get out in the sunshine and explore the new play equipment at the park. It was very exciting to get the chance to go on the amazing new play area before it is officially opened to the public tomorrow. We also loved searching for the rocks that the year 2 children decorated and hide in the park for us to find. It is definitely worth a visit this weekend!
A huge well done to all of our winners this week. We had lots of boys celebrating HoWl points this week, some super stewards, fantastic mathematicians on numbots and tt rockstars, as well as our fantastic crew champions this week. It was great to hear about your craftsmanship and quality and the respect you have been showing.
Also, a huge well done to Crew Schon with 100% again…you are smashing it this term…well done!
Well done to Matilda, who has recently received a distinction for her first singing exam!
It didn’t stop her finding time to do some reading though!
Over the long weekend, George was lucky enough to go on a visit to Amsterdam. Whilst he was there, he made a visit to the house of Anne Frank, someone we had been learning about way back in the autumn term! What a fabulous experience!
Well done to Bodhi who guessed the correct name of our Easter bunny – Junior!!
Y6 have taken part in a range of experiments linked to sound. We studied how we hear sound and what causes sound as part of our science week investigation. Well done Y6 it looks like you had a lot of fun! #OgdenTrust
On Tuesday next week, Y6 will be hosting a Springtime Bun Sale to raise funds for their leavers events.
Buns will be on sale for 50p.
If you would like to buy a bun, please bring your money and hand to your class teacher on Tuesday morning.
Any buns left over will be sold outside Year 6 at home time.
Yesterday class 8 enjoyed testing different objects to see which were the best at floating and which ones sunk. They predicted what would happen based on the material of the object.
They had lots of fun but it was also great to see them using their knowledge of materials from our Autumn term expedition!

Today, Class 7 tested friction of different objects and also the friction of cars on different surfaces.
