XP Outdoors- Year 5 Stretcher Making

This morning, our Year 5 crews took on a hands-on challenge that put their teamwork and problem-solving skills to the test. Tasked with rescuing an “injured” team member, each crew was given only one tool: rope.

With creativity and cooperation, the students worked together to design and build makeshift stretchers strong enough to carry their injured teammate to safety. It was fantastic to see the collaboration, communication, and critical thinking on display as they turned simple rope into a life-saving device.

Well done to all the Year 5 crews for showing such determination and teamwork!

Class 9 | Expert Visitor

A massive thank you to Andy who took the time to come in and speak to the class all about his job and his love for rocks! The children were so engaged with the session and loved getting to examine some of the different rocks that were brought in! What a fantastic way to introduce the children to our next case study!

Science Week Celebration

Shout out to Mr Taylor for putting this video together capturing all the awesome work we did in science week! It looks like everyone really enjoyed the practical lessons and getting hooked into science. We can’t wait for the next one! #ScienceWeek #OgdenTrust

Crew Council and Wizard of Oz – Chocolate Surprise!

After the children had performed and supported at the VE Day celebrations in Moorends, the children were surprised with a visit from a local veteran from the RBL. He was so impressed with their performance and the children’s behaviour that he wanted to give them something back. The children were so grateful for their bars of chocolate – they definitely went down a treat!

Stay Cool Class 6!

In keeping with our latest case study of astronauts and following our wonderful family learning event, I decided to give class 6 a treat for being so awesome last week by staying super quiet in the corridors while year 6 completed their SATs. We all enjoyed ROCKET ice-lollies in the quad on Friday afternoon.

Well done class 6!
