This morning, we had a lovely walk to Thorne library where the children chose books and enjoyed some time reading for pleasure. It was great to see everyone interested and hooked into looking at books from different genres and sharing what they’d found with each other.
A huge well done to Jack for correctly guessing the code to release all these fabulous prizes as well as winning a new book!
Miss Knowles has refilled the safe ready for lots more people to have a chance at winning more prizes tomorrow! Remember it is 50p a go for the rest of this week! Good Luck!!
Today, Class 10 have been learning about the life of a Roman soldier. We even learned the Latin names of items like a sword, helmet and shield amongst others. We learned that there was some positives of being a Roman soldier such as you are well fed and get equipment provided. However, there were negatives as well with the main one being that you could be killed!
Class 10 loved their time practising their passing skills with Coach Kyle.
We were really impressed with how well we did and the control we showed with our technique!
We have enjoyed some time in our lovey reading area today to read some books for pleasure.
