Y1 family learning
We are artists – we spent a very creative and theraputic afternoon today using a ‘step by step’ method to paint a jelly fish linked to our second case study – the sea. All of the children and their parents and carers produced beautiful artwork which will be included in our art gallery at the end of term.

Year 2 extended studies in maths
I have been so impressed with the children’s understanding of our new maths unit: repeated addition and multiplication. Here are some homework questions if you want to check their learning from this week. Well done year 2!

UPDATED – Spring DISCO
Spring DISCO
Wednesday 21st February 2024
EYFS 2pm – 2:45pm
KS1 3pm – 3:45pm
KS2 4pm – 5pm
£2 entrance to the disco will include a hotdog and juice. Additional drinks and sweets will be available to purchase.
Uniform / clothes:
Nursery children are welcome to come to school in their DISCO clothes.
F2, Y1 and Y2 will be in school uniform and will get changed in class before the DISCO begins.
KS2 will be in school uniform for the day and change at home or during their club (if they attend a Wednesday club).
Children will be collected from their usual doors after the DISCO

National Read Aloud Day!
A huge thank you to all of our grown ups for coming along and sharing stories with our Crew. What a lovely way to end our afternoon!
Class 8’s beautiful work
This week we have completed our final touch down writes, which were descriptions of Canada’s landscape. I was so impressed with their vocabulary and the progress they have made.
In maths we have been learning about how repeated addition can help us to understand multiplication. The children have been arranging objects into groups this week and I have been so impressed with their vocabulary and understanding.

Year 5 World Read Aloud!
We had a lovely end to our Wednesday when parents (and a couple of little visitors) joined us to read aloud together to acknowledge the special day!
