Over the last few weeks before half term the children have been painting poppies to decorate the school fences. They used collage work to decorate poppies to take home. Lovely work from everyone!
Class 8 have learnt a lot about Hinduism today. They read the story Rama and Sita and then looked at rangoli patterns. Most Hindu households have rangoli patterns at the entrance to their home as they are thought to bring good luck and prosperity to their families. Some children used paints, others used pegs and boards, whilst others coloured in rangoli patterns. Well done class 8 for some great listening and learning today. I will be checking on Monday that you have remembered anything about the religion Hinduism?
have a lovely weekend x

In expedition today, class 8 have been working with a partner to test out their catapults, seeing how far the ball would go and then measuring and recording their results. They had so much fun!!
The children have produced some amazing stories this week and I have been so impressed with the fantastic progress already this year! Amazing work class 8…well done x
Thanks so much to all of the parents and carers for coming into our family learning today. It was amazing and the catapults look brilliant! Thank you x
The children (and staff!) had a fantastic time dancing their socks off at our Autumn disco this evening. There were some amazing costumes and everyone had so much fun. A huge thanks go to our wonderful PTA, Friends of Green Top for organising this, and many other fabulous events that raise so much money for our school. You ladies rock!
Apologies for the somewhat blurry photographs in the slideshow below…it was difficult trying to get the children to stay still for the pictures!
