Starting to immerse…

So this afternoon the children of class 11 took do making some collaborative lollipops.  Designing and agreeing on a design and decorating one side each! They are already looking fab but I can’t wait till they are dry and I can wrap them up in cellophane.  Very realistic! Super job guys.

Fabulous maths!

The children loved this activity and as I walked round I could really see how well they were working together and supporting each other. Well done guys!

What does the sun see?

Today we had out final story about the sun and moon. From this the children looked at what the sun and moon might see and listed a wide range of adjectives to match these creating a brilliant shared word bank! I was very impressed.

They then set to producing a lovely piece of writing to tell me what they think the sun might see when and included lots of beautiful description!

Here are some more brilliant examples.

Phases of the moon

Just look at this super star! In class 11 we have learnt about the phases of the moon and how and why the moon doesn’t always look the same. They were really interested in this and have produced a very simple but effective poster, just like the one below ☺️

A stary night

Some more super dooper collaboration and art work here. Each child had a section of an image to copy so that when put together it creates a full one! I am so impressed at their skills, persistence and determination. Well done guys.

Super story boards

I’m a super impressed at the amount of talent in class 11.  They are all amazing little people.

Here the children have listened, discussed and thought about the story to retell it into a six part story board ensuring they don’t miss any key information. A tricky task but they smashed it. Here are some examples.

Learning Today

In class 11 today we have had another brilliant day!

We started our day off with some maths, showing how we can represent numbers in different ways and then working collaboratively on some problem solving style questions linked to this and place value.

Then, using a story we looked at and enjoyed last week we produced some wonderful writing! I was over the moon with the level of presentation and the pride they all took in their work.  They have all produced some lovely little piece of writing to the little boy on the farm in our story.

This afternoon we managed to finish off our team building and share our bridges and test them out – 6 groups could hold Equal weight which means lots of prizes! I was so impressed.

Learning legends

Today we have ….. Drum roll please….

Leo and Jesse today – both of which have been can do Colins for their English work today. Working very hard on their ideas, spelling, hand writing and overall presentation. I was so impressed and proud at how hard they have worked very big well done!

Khaya has been a helpful girl today by being a choosing checking changing Charlie and offering improvement points to a friend which helped her improve and complete her work just that little bit better.  This was so kind and of you to do this and your feedback was very gratefully received too! Well done!

Another fabulous day with these beauties today…can’t wait to see who the learning legends are tomorrow. Brilliant day guys see you tomorrow ☺️
