Something strange happened outside our classroom at the beginning of the week. The children had lots of questions about it and they were very curious about our new book Beegu to find out where she had come from and how she was going to get back home. Some lovely group work happening this week. Keep it up class 8!

Classes 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 are beginning an exciting new reading challenge competition!
Starting tomorrow, Friday the 10th of January, everytime your child brings their reading pack into school to be changed they will receive a raffle ticket. Once every 4 weeks a lucky winner from each class will win a SUPER READER HAMPER full of prizes. The more your child reads at home, the more chances they will have of winning the monthly prize!
So come on! Get out those reading packs and get reading!!!
Another fantastic walk around Thorne this morning. We saw the church, peel hill, the old windmill and lots of different shops. Once again a huge thank you to all of our grown ups that came and supported us. A big huge thank you to Lexii’s dad for helping us all cross the roads safely. We really appreciate you giving up your spare time up to help us.
Thank you

We saw some fascinating things on our walk around Thorne this afternoon. We saw the memorial park and the cenotaph. We went down the canal to the lock and managed to see the lock in action. We then walked back to school past the fire station and through the park again.
A big big thank you to all the adults that helped on our walk today we really appreciate your support.
