Thank you to Mr Kershaw for giving us a demonstration of the Great Fire of London using our very own houses that we built. We loved it!

Today, Class 7 had 2 special visitors. One was Thomas Fariner telling us about how and why the Great Fire of London started. The second was Samuel Pepys telling us about what he had written in his diary during this great, historical event. Both let us make freeze frames from the event and we even sang nursery rhymes as well. We loved it!
Class 7 continued their RE learning with more Hindu stories. This week it was 4 friends where we learned that we can all use our talents to help others and be kind!
What a great way to remember our spelling sounds with “boom, clap and splat”. We absolutely loved our active spelling session 🙂
A huge well done to our community crew champions from last week! You are all amazing and are doing a fantastic job of working hard, being kind and getting smart, as well as being fantastic stewards. Well done year 1 and 2!
Today, Class 7 have been looking at stories with meanings. We looked into the Hindu story of Ganesha goes to a party! We liked how it taught us that kindness is better than boasting and we even acted out the story!
Class 7 have been practicing their throwing and catching skills today in order to improve their hand eye coordination. We had targets to throw at and then tested ourselves catching. Some of us could even catch one handed and on one foot!
Well done to Crew Gerrard for winning the Crew Kitty last week with 100%. Keep coming in and we can earn more money to go towards treats! 🙂
Just a reminder to return books tomorrow so that they can be changed! 🙂
