That’s a wrap for maths

We finished our maths assessment papers today with Deacon and Harrison scoring full marks. Lexi also did very well in her phonics assessment today with Miss O’Neill. I am super proud of how class 6 have stepped up during these assessments. You should all be very pleased with yourselves too.

Awesome!

Another smashing day

Class 6 continued to knock it out of the park with their assessments today with reading paper 1. Deacon, Shae and Maddison did particularly well. We then spent a lovely afternoon planning the layout for our final product.

I’m super excited to see how it turns out.

Yellow t shirt winner

Well done to Elina who gets to wear the yellow t shirt for the week in class 6. She has really impressed me lately with her fantastic learning behaviours and her outstanding effort. Well done angel.

Be kind, be helpful, be specific

We were certainly all of the above in our art lesson today as we shared our notice, praise and wonders during a critique of our sculptures. It was wonderful to see how the children used subject specific vocabulary when discussing the art work and they made some fabulous suggestions as to how each piece could be improved. I was blown away by you all. So proud of you.

We are artists

Class 6 spent a wonderful afternoon practising skills and using these to begin to create sculptures of re-cycled materials for our exciting final product in our current expedition, How will what I do today impact the world tomorrow? Our theme is plastic.

We are becoming very confident in using the vocabulary of the art and craft curriculum and will use this in our silent gallery and peer critique event tomorrow afternoon.

I can’t wait to begin to pull all your awesome work together into our final piece.

Awesome work class 6!
