Class 7 superstars

Take a look at these amazing young men who absolutely blew me away today with their can-do attitudes. Charlie has made fantastic progress in his phonics and spellings recently and used his learning of split digraphs to spell all his words correctly, Jackson earned a head teacher’s award sticker for his fantastic postcard writing in English and Reggie blew me away with his effort in maths.

So proud of you guys!

Class 7 Kixx

We had a fantastic first session of Kixx football skills this afternoon. Coach Kyle took us through our paces and we dazzled him with how good we already are at dribbling, shooting and controlling the ball.

We can’t wait for next week.

Please remember to send in outdoor PE kit for next Monday’s session.

KS1 Community Crew Meeting

Some more wonderful achievements to celebrate last week in our community meeting. It was wonderful to see so many children with shoutouts for their kindness, some awesome reading certificates, Crew Shaw with the best attendance and our FANTASTIC out of this world achievers. We can’t wait for after the Christmas holidays to continue celebrating our amazing KS1 children!

Keep up all the hard work!

Year 1 Phonics

And…….cut! That’s a wrap Class 6!

Wow! What an amazing and emotional last day we have had together in class 6 today.

We watched a lovely movie while eating the treats we bought using our attendance reward money. We held a graduation ceremony and some of us were presented with certificates and prizes for gaining 100% attendance. Our day was completed with our awesome whole school picnic where it was wonderful to see so many of our families enjoying the sunshine.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your beautiful and thoughtful gifts and kind words and to thank you for allowing me to share in a small part of your children’s lives. It truly is a privilege to have been a part of their journey.

I couldn’t be more proud of my little superstars and the progress they have made over the past year and I know they will continue to shine in year 2. I will miss them lots but I can’t wait to see how high they fly next year.

Reach for the stars kids!

With love, Miss Rodgers xx
